Tour de Trykes & Twilight Criterium

7:30AM

http://www.tourdetrykes.com Contact Number: (817) 690-9590 Location: David Allen Memorial Ballpark, 301 S Grand Ave Registration begins at 6:00 a.m. The Tour de Trykes is a bicycle tour leaving from downtown Enid on Saturday morning with routes of 2 miles, 14 miles, 26 miles, 42 miles, and 62 miles. We are celebrating our 9th year of hosting this event which draws in over 300 riders. The Criterium starts at 5 pm and is a bicycle race on a closed course through downtown Enid where United States Cycling Association licensed riders compete for cash prizes. The courses are about .08 miles long with riders reaching 30-35 miles per hour. The races are very exciting and usually draw a great, young at heart and excited crowd. The Tour de Trykes and Criterium raise money for our AMBUCS projects which emphasize mobility for those people for whom mobility is difficult. One of the designated projects has been AmTrykes. AmTrykes are tricycle-like vehicles specially adapted to allow those with mobility difficulties to be able to ride the bike or trike more easily. Another main project for AMBUCS is the Miracle League. The Miracle League is a collaborative effort of Enid Noon AMBUCS and 4RKids and gives special needs kids and adults the opportunity to play in summer T-Ball games.
